Italy 1-1 France (Pen: Italy 5 France 3)
A classic World Cup Final between two teams rich with World Cup history. Level after 120 minutes mean't the Champions were to be crowned through penaltys. Both teams played well, and it was hard to pick a winner. Perhaps you could say France looked more likely to a score the winning goal then Italy did. But after a bizarre sending off late into extra time, France were reduced to 10 men but managed to hold the Italians for penaltys. France's missed penalty was enough to crown the Italians as World Cup champions. It was a momentous occasion for Italy, and one to be savoured for many years to come. The Runner Up French team were bitterly disappointed as you would expect. The Italians win the Cup and celebrate in style!

France beat Italy the other day, Italy are looking rather normal all of a sudden! |

| Italy looked normal throughout the WC Finals. No class like they used to have. How they won it is beyond me, they definitely didn't have the stronger squad of players... Nuff respect though. |
